Researchers from Itaipu Binacional visited our production facilities and learned about projects developed in partnership with the Fishing Institute.

Our work was highlighted in a publication by the Fisheries Institute (IP-APTA) , which documented the visit of researchers and technicians from Itaipu Binacional to our facilities and the Advanced Research and Development Center for Continental Fish, in São José do Rio Preto (SP). The meeting aimed to promote the exchange of knowledge about production systems, research, and perspectives for the development of fish farming.

The program began at our production unit, located in the Água Vermelha Reservoir, in Riolândia (SP). During the visit, the researchers learned firsthand about our tilapia farming project in Large Volume Net Pens ( TRGV ), a technology developed to meet the characteristics of Brazilian reservoirs and contribute to more efficient production. The publication also highlights that Fisher has been a partner and collaborator of the Fisheries Institute since 2014.

Following that, the delegation visited the Advanced Research and Development Center for Continental Fish, where they toured laboratories, experimental ponds, and other facilities used in research conducted by the Fisheries Institute. The meeting concluded with a working session focused on discussing future partnerships between the institutions and prospects for the development of fish farming in the Itaipu reservoir.
