2011. Foundation

Fisher Piscicultura was founded in August 2011 with the purpose of developing a more professional, efficient, and sustainable fish farming industry. Since its inception, the company has brought together specialists with extensive experience in implementing aquaculture projects, business management, and operating production units.

2012 to 2014. The TRGV Project is born.

With the goal of increasing the productivity of Brazilian fish farming and overcoming the limitations of imported technologies, Fisher initiated studies for the development of the TRGV (Large Volume Net Pen). The project was designed to meet the characteristics of Brazilian reservoirs, marking the beginning of an innovation that would transform tilapia production in the country.

Fisher Piscicultura Água Vermelha was created, a subsidiary responsible for implementing the production unit in the Água Vermelha reservoir, in Riolândia (SP), establishing the basis for validating the technology on a commercial scale. During this period, the construction of the first prototype of the technology was also completed, and operational tests were initiated to validate the innovative concept of the system.

2015 to 2018. Technological consolidation

In partnership with researchers from APTA and the Fisheries Institute, Fisher obtained FAPESP approval for the scientific development of the TRGV project. With the construction of TRGVs 2 and 3, Fisher advanced to a new stage of development. In partnership with researchers from UNESP, it began implementing the automation of feed management and consolidating the Technological Production Package.

Following the validation of the studies and technology, Fisher successfully completed the first production cycle using automated feeding. The results confirmed the system's efficiency and initiated the commercialization of the production, proving the potential of TRGV on a commercial scale.

2019 to 2021. International investment Aqua Spark

Fisher received an investment from Aqua-Spark, a global aquaculture investment fund based in the Netherlands. Aqua-Spark's investment represented an important milestone in validating the technology, strengthening the company's growth and expanding its potential impact on global aquaculture.
During this period, Fisher began mass production of TRGV and expanded its tilapia production on a commercial scale, reaching a production of over 1000 tons per year in 2021.

2022 to 2023. Second round of Aqua Spark investment.

In 2022, Fisher received its second round of investment from the Aqua Spark fund, accelerating the expansion of tank construction and increasing its production capacity, exceeding the mark of 2000 tons per year.

2024. Implementation of the juvenile production unit in bioflocs.

In 2024, Fisher took an important step in the sustainability and traceability of its production by implementing its juvenile production unit using biofloc technology, in partnership with SJFish. The biofloc juvenile production unit, with a capacity exceeding 300,000 juveniles per month, is currently one of the largest in Brazil using this technology.

Today. A benchmark in aquaculture innovation.

Through TRGV, ongoing research, and large-scale tilapia production, Fisher continues to drive the development of a more efficient and sustainable aquaculture industry, better prepared to meet the growing global demand for quality protein.
